Who We Are

CocoaVino is dedicated to celebrating the everyday beauty of life — to living deliberately, sustainably and fabulously in the modern world.

Among the ways we do this is by making artisanal chocolates and confections.

Using regional, sustainable, and organic ingredients, we present an ever-changing collection of limited-edition, seasonal, and longer-run creations that push the classic into the modern by exploring new and unexpected harmonies of flavor.

We call it tasting the eco-fabulous life.

 

PEOPLE

CocoaVino is owned and operated by Alisha Lumea and Avril Pendergast-Fischer.

Alisha Lumea holds the Grand Diplôme in Pastry Arts from the French Culinary Institute, in New York, where she studied under the guidance of master chocolatier Jacques Torres.

Avril Pendergast-Fischer is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute’s Fundamentals of Wine program, led by Master Sommelier Andrea Immer, and the Sommelier Society of America.

 

PRINCIPLES

Our combined 15 years experience in international humanitarian aid and development have shown us first-hand that the choices we make as consumers shape the larger global ecology that begins with the land and the lives of those who farm it.

Better choices create the better ecology that leads to more pleasure for everyone - including better-tasting chocolate!

That's why we're Eco-Forward in our approach, sourcing all our ingredients with respect for the environment, the physical and economic well-being of workers, your health, and great taste.
